Built for Pakistan — The Story and Purpose Behind 98hh

Who We Are

The Platform Behind 98hh

98hh started with a straightforward observation: most gaming platforms available to Pakistani players weren't really built for Pakistan. Currency conversion, English copy aimed at European or Australian audiences, payment methods that don't work locally, and mobile experiences that fall apart on the devices most people in Pakistan actually use — these were common frustrations across the market.

The response was to build something different. A platform where PKR is the default, not an add-on. Where JazzCash and Easypaisa work as first-class deposit and withdrawal methods, not afterthoughts. Where the sports section puts Cricket, PSL and T20 internationals front and centre because that's what Pakistani players follow. Where the mobile app is genuinely designed for mid-range Android handsets on 4G rather than assuming every user has a flagship phone on fibre broadband.

That's the core of what 98hh is — an entertainment platform that's made relevant choices about its audience and built accordingly. The full platform covers Sports Betting, Live Casino, Slot Games, Slots, Bingo, and a dedicated Game Lobby, all accessible through a browser or the 98hh App.

None of what 98hh offers is particularly complicated once you're inside the platform. The complexity is in the build — making all these pieces work together seamlessly, in PKR, on mobile, for Pakistani users who have real expectations about how digital products should perform. That's where the ongoing work goes.

Our Approach

How 98hh Thinks About Building for Pakistani Players

The gaming industry has plenty of large platforms with global reach. What they typically don't have is genuine depth of understanding for a specific market like Pakistan. The differences that matter aren't just about language — they're about how people in Pakistan deposit money, what sports they follow, what devices they play on, and what time of day they tend to be most active.

On the payments side, the 98hh approach is to support the methods Pakistani players already use in their daily lives. JazzCash and Easypaisa aren't just listed as options — they're treated as the primary deposit and withdrawal channels because that's how most Pakistani users actually transact online. The friction of visiting a banking portal or transferring through an unfamiliar third-party wallet doesn't exist on 98hh for these methods.

On the sports side, the depth of cricket coverage reflects real market attention. During PSL season, the volume of sports betting activity on 98hh is at its highest — so that's where the most investment in market variety, in-play responsiveness and odds accuracy goes. International cricket between Pakistan and major opponents gets the same treatment. Football has a strong following in Pakistan too, particularly European club competitions and international tournaments, and the 98hh Sports section reflects that.

Mobile performance isn't treated as a secondary concern. The most common scenario for a Pakistani player on 98hh is a mid-range Android phone, a 4G connection that may not be consistently fast, and a preference for quick sessions — checking odds during a lunch break, placing a bet while watching a PSL match, spinning a few slot rounds before bed. The app and mobile browser are tuned for these conditions rather than assuming ideal network and hardware.

Responsible Gaming is also a genuine priority for 98hh, not just a checkbox. Deposit limits, session time reminders and self-exclusion tools are all available within the platform. These tools are accessible from within your account settings in both the browser and the app. The platform is strictly 18+ — age verification is part of the registration process and there are no exceptions to this.
